Professor Manel Medina, member of the Computer Architecture Department and professor of the FIB, has been recognized with this award together with Professor Marcel Coderch. Dr. Medina is an international leader in cybersecurity. Doctor in Telecommunications Engineering from the UPC, he is the Scientific President of the Antiphishing Group Europe, and founder of esCERT, as well as several spin offs such as Safelayer.
