The Department of Mathematics (DMAT) of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) is in charge of teaching, research and knowledge transfer in the scientific and technical areas related to Mathematics at UPC.
The department was created in October 2015 integrating the former four departments of applied mathematics.
The research is organised through research groups funded by research projects from public and private funding agencies at national and international levels, and with contracts with public and private organisations.
