The inLab FIB UPC is the innovation laboratory of the Barcelona School of Informatics (FIB) at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC).
Its mission is to promote innovation and education as the foundation for progress and knowledge transfer.
For this reason, its activity focuses on the development of technological innovation projects, in the broadest sense of computer science, to drive the digital transformation of companies and public administration. These projects are carried out with the participation of undergraduate, master’s and PhD students, who complement their academic training with hands-on project work, providing a real learning environment.
The inLab FIB has been recognized as a TECNIO center since 2019, an accreditation granted by ACCIÓ, the Agency for Business Competitiveness of the Government of Catalonia.

Talent Program
For FIB students, inLab FIB is a professional environment of innovative project development that incorporates the training of collaborators as a goal on its own. Students are integrated in teams with technical personnel (staff) and professors with huge experience.
The aim of this program is to achieve comprehensive training for students as a supplement to their regular studies through both curricular and extracurricular activities.
The participation of companies in this program is organized through the sponsorship and collaboration in specific training projects aimed at the comprehensive training of students.
