David López Álvarez, awarded with the “Premio AENUI a la calidad e innovación docente 2020”

The AENUI (Asociación de Enseñantes Universitarios de la Informática) has awarded the "Premio AENUI a la calidad e innovación docente 2020" to the FIB professor David López Álvarez, within the framework of the XXVI edition of the Jornadas sobre la Enseñanza Universitaria de la Informática (JENUI 2020) held in Valencia from July 8 to 9. The Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería of the Universitat de València has organised these conferences in a virtual format, which ended on Thursday, July 9 with the closing and award ceremony.

The "Premio AENUI a la calidad e innovación docente 2020" has valued the merits, both professional and personal, of David López, who is considered a pioneer and a benchmark in the field of teaching innovation in Spain. The thing is that the professor of the FIB has promoted the creation of the group of Research in Education in Science and Engineering of Barcelona, ​​BCN-SEER, and has been the director of the Instituto de Ciencias de la Educación (ICE) at UPC. In addition, he is a member of international engineering education associations such as the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) or the European Society for Engineering Education (SEFI).

The publication of more than a hundred articles also reflects his commitment to research in education, as well as his involvement with the JENUI since 2006.
