Monday 04 November 2019
On the weekend of the 3rd and 4th of October, the DigiEduHack 2019, a hackathon on a global scale that took place in more than 50 locations and attended by more than 2,500 participants, took place at Campus Nord.
Two exchange students, Luis Carranza and Valeria Urbina, who are currently studying Computer Engineering at the FIB were among the 10 finalists of this hackathon out of 130 projects.
Arriving at this stage of the hackathon, the winner is no longer decided by vote of the jury, but is decided with an open virtual vote.
Student4Student is a mobile platform for last year high school students who are interested in learning more about career options in Informatics and getting in touch with university students who already pursue such studies. The platform aims to encourage specifically young female students to continue their education in the Informatics area, as a way to achieve better gender balance in the IT industry.
