Do you want to develop a videogame in 48 hours?

You are here

Game Jam Barcelona @ UPC is an event where programmers, designers, artists and musics of all around the world unite to create a videogame in 48 hours (29th-31st January). Experience is not required to participate!

The Game Jam Barcelona is back this year for its 10th edition in a completely online format from 29th-31st January! The Global Game Jam is held the last weekend of January, the greatest videogame creation event of the world! The GGJ is like a 48 hour Hackathon where participants develop a themed videogame.

Since the first edition in 2009, the Global Game Jam has grown so much, that in its last edition, has reached 934 locations in 37 different countries, uniting 48000 jammers that created more than 9600 games in a weekend! The GGJ encourages innovation, experimentation and collaboration in videogames and between its participants, it's not a competition. In Barcelona, the students association VGAFIB of the FIB (UPC), is organising a location of GGJ since 2011: the Game Jam Barcelona. This year is the 10th edition!

This year, because of the COVID-19 situation, for the first time, the Game Jam Barcelona will be held completely online with the collaboration of IndieDevDay.es!
