BSC Life Sciences Open Day by Bioinfo4Women, 7 March 2024

The Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), within the framework of International Women's Day and as part of the Bioinfo4Women programme, invites you to learn about the work of the centre's women bioinformatics researchers and to visit MareNostrum 5, the most powerful supercomputer in Spain and one of the most powerful in Europe.

Through 15-minute informal talks, we seek to establish a link with young students, encouraging their interest in the field of bioinformatics research and promoting their professional initiation in the areas of personalised medicine, genome analysis, natural language processing, software infrastructure development for biology research and other areas of computational biology.

ACTIVITIES: Presentation of the BSC, 15-minute talks with BSC women bioinformaticians, visit to MareNostrum 5 and networking coffee with snacks.

AUDIENCE: Bachelor and Master students with interest in bioinformatics. Limited places (max. 30 people).
