Ulises Cortés named “Mexicano Distinguido 2018”

In recognition of his career in the Artificial Intelligence research he has developed between Mexico and Barcelona

 

Professor Ulises Cortés, member of the Department of Computer Science of the UPC and professor of the FIB, has been one of the 31 Mexicans to whom the Mexican government has granted recognition as a distinguished Mexican resident abroad for his career in the research of Artificial Intelligence, specifically as head of the High Performance Artificial Intelligence group of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center-National Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS).

 

 

 

   

The award, a silver medal, was presented this year for the first time, on September 14, coinciding with the day of Mexican independence.
