Ramon Nonell FIB teacher, from the Department of Statistics and Operational Research, has received the Menció FIB in recognition of his work for 25 years as Academic Secretary of the Facultat d'Informàtica de Barcelona.

On Thursday, May 11, the Festibity (Information Technology Festival) was held at La Cúpula de las Arenas. During the event four Festibity Mentions are awarded: awards given by the Facultat d'Informàtica de Barcelona and FIB Alumni (Associació d'Antics Alumnes of the FIB) in recognition of the work of individuals or companies that have distinguished themselves in the field of technologies of the information, defending values or ways of doing in syntony with the objectives of FIB Alumni and the FIB.
This year the Menció FIB relies on Ramon Nonell, a professor of statistics, mathematician, and philosopher who for more than 25 years has been a prop for the Faculty. His willingness and good judgment has helped lead the FIB, bringing together country teams, interpreting and drafting regulations and regulations, supporting government bodies and certifying thousands and thousands of documents. His experience and wisdom has made him a reference for the whole UPC.
