Master's Graduation Ceremony, academic year 2023-2024

The event took place in the Auditorium of the Vèrtex building, on the North Campus of the UPC, the room was full of people.

The ceremony began with the host of the event, Anna Queralt, professor in the Department of Information Systems and Services Engineering, who welcomed all the graduates of the 2023-2024 academic year. Thereafter, the dean of the Barcelona School of Informatics (FIB), ​​Josep Fernandez, addressed a few words to all the attendees.  

Josep Lluis Berral, a professor at FIB and researcher at BSC, was invited to the stage to present his lecture 'Tria la teva aventura / Choose Your Own Adventure.' He inspired graduates to take charge of their career paths and encouraged them to follow their dreams.

As per tradition, a colloquium was held, and six students representing each degree program were invited. Along with the event's host, they posed a series of questions reflecting on their journey throughout the master's program, sharing anecdotes and personal experiences.

After the dialogue concluded, Oscar Romero, the Vice-Dean of Postgraduate Studies, initiated the diploma presentation to all graduates. He congratulated the graduates and highlighted the special recognitions, including the Cluster Mobility and 'Aula Lliure' mentions.

The Vice-Dean of Postgraduate Studies introduced Mr. Eduard Elias i Vila, the Vice-Dean of Legal and Regulatory Affairs of COEINF. He delivered a few words and, on behalf of the Computer Engineering College of Catalonia (COEINF), presented an award tp the student with the best academic record in the MEI program for the academic year 2022-2023.

The institutional closing was led by the Vice-Chancellor of Digital Strategy, Álvar Vinacua, and the celebration continued in the FIB square where a snack buffet was offered to all the attendees.
