Over 140 girls take part in technology workshops to inspire STEM vocations

This Saturday, the Faculty of Informatics of Barcelona (FIB) hosted a new edition of Oracle4Girls, a day of free technology workshops designed to bring science and technology closer to girls aged 4 to 16. The event saw the participation of 140 girls, who enjoyed a fun and educational day at UPC’s Campus Nord.

The aim of this initiative is to spark STEM vocations from an early age, encourage interest in information and communication technologies (ICT), and help reduce the gender gap in the tech sector.

Throughout the morning, participants took part in several hands-on workshops where they explored concepts such as programming, artificial intelligence, and robotics, all through play and in a fun, creative, and engaging environment.

Oracle4Girls is a well-established initiative that aims to bring technology closer to the new generations, showing that the digital world is for girls too.
