On 28, 29 and 30 January, more than 100 students from 3rd and 4th year of secondary education and 1st and 2nd year of upper secondary education from across Catalonia will take part in the CIC-MIT Hackathon, which will be held at the UPC’s Campus Nord.
This initiative began eight years ago and has grown steadily ever since, welcoming an increasing number of schools from across the region. Over the course of three days, students face the challenge of developing an engineering project from scratch and proposing an innovative technological solution.
Participants are supported by mentors — engineering students who accompany them throughout the process and help make STEM disciplines more approachable and accessible.
The CIC-MIT Hackathon is an excellent and highly inspiring educational activity, and it receives very positive feedback from all participants.
