FIB wins the Honor Award at the 22th edition of La nit de les Telecomunicacions i la Informàtica

The Honor Award distinguishes the public or private personality (institution or person) with a broad and outstanding professional career related to Electronics, Information and Communication Technologies or Audiovisual in the technical, academic, corporate or institutional field in the State.

A jury of prestigious professionals and authorities has decided to award the highest distinction in the Facultat d'Informàtica de Barcelona (FIB), which this 2017 commemorates its 40th anniversary as a pioneering center of international reference, recognized by its capacity for renewal and adaptation to the new demands of society.

The dean of the FIB, Núria Castell, has collected this Honor Award from the President of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Carles Puigdemont.

Other winners have been:

- Award for Communication and Dissemination of ICTs, won by the TVC program 'Generació digital'.

- Salvà i Campillo and Alan Turing to Lluís Torner (ICFO); Francesc Muñoz (Cuatrecasas Abogados); Ramón Alós (Optral), Jose M. Caballero (Albedo Telecom) and Jordi Rubio (Labdoo).

- CISCO presents its Digital Transformation Award to CSUCA and the organizers make a special recognition to Tecnonews.
