Unai Lema, GCED student, proclaimed U-20 water polo world champion

Unai Lema was part of the team that was crowned U-20 water polo world champion in Zagreb.

Unai Lema, a student of the Bachelor degree in Data Science and Engineering (GCED), has been proclaimed junior world champion in water polo as a member of the Spanish U-20 national team, in the tournament held this past June in Zagreb (Croatia).

Another UPC student, Albert Sabadell, from the Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering at UPC, also played a key role in this triumph, scoring 6 goals in the final and consolidating himself as a key player in the team.

Both Unai and Albert are part of the TutorEsport-UPC Program, a support program for high-level athletes that helps them balance university studies with high-performance sports.
