The LleidaHack association presented the awards to the winning teams at the Escola Politècnica Superior of the University of Lleida. This programming marathon was sponsored by Semic, BonÀrea, Stratesys and Xtrategics, which proposed different challenges for participants to develop specific software within 24 hours.
The first prize awarded was the BonÀrea challenge, which went to the team “m.jar”, composed of inLab members Josep De Cid, Albert Garriga, Ricard Gadella and Mario Albo. The challenge consisted of analyzing purchasing data and predicting future behavior of online customers.
“Bernattixer”, composed of FIB Computer Engineering students Ferran Velasco, Andreu Gallofé and Bernat Torres, together with inLab member Victor Sánchez, won the Semic consultancy prize for solving a set of logical and mathematical problems.
The inLab members Sergio Paredes, Gonzalo Recio and Gisela Ruzafa, members of the team “Marenostrum”, together with Pau Torrents, won the challenge proposed by the Escola Politècnica of Lleida, which consisted of developing a web application connecting students and lecturers.
Finally, Sandra Mas, Juan Salmerón, Ester Lorente and Marc Vila, from the team “The JSON for” and also from the FIB environment, won the Xtrategics prize for their project “Mi Médico”, a system of Amazon Alexa functionalities that allows a patient to perform health-related tasks without leaving home.
