Diversity Makes Us FIB
At the FIB, we foster a community where all gender identities, gender expressions and sexual orientations are respected, visible and free from discrimination.
As part of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), we uphold the institution's values and its 4th Equality Plan (2022–2026), which provides a framework for respecting diversity and preventing discrimination. Our work is guided by the principles of Law 19/2020 on equal treatment and non-discrimination and Law 11/2014 on safeguarding LGBTI rights.
We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards LGBTI-phobia. We have protocols in place to prevent and address harassment, and we provide mechanisms to ensure respect for gender identity and expression, including name change procedures for transgender members of our community.
