The 5th edition of the hackathon jacobsHack! 2018 has been held from November 3 to 4 in Bremen (Germany). A total of 84 participants have taken part in the 16 challenges presented, and almost 2,000 euros in prizes have been awarded.
Andreu Gallofré, an Informatics Engineering degree student at FIB, and his team have won the Face Palm Award and the MLH Prize - Best Domain Registered with Domain.com. thanks to his project, BetYourDignity, which consists of a funny game to like and follow Instagram friends.
On the other hand, the team of the student of the Bachelor Degree in Informatics Engineering at the FIB David Valero Masachs has been awarded with the MLH Prize - Best use of HERE.com. thanks to the Tag&Find, project, a web app to find places with more specific parameters than Google Maps in just three steps using user reviews.
Once more, the aim of the jacobsHack! this year has been to create social value, to seek growth, and to cause the right changes in the times and changing economic conditions.
