GRINS - Intelligent Robots and Systems

The INtelligent Robots and Systems Group (GRINS) is formed by members of the Department of Automatic Control.

The group’s activity is oriented towards three complementary areas:

  • The design and development of image processing and computer vision systems, specially oriented to control, guidance and supervision of robotic systems
  • Robotic systems adapted to specific environments
  • Multiagent Systems with cooperation capabilities

At present time the main working fields are medical robots (both surgical and for assistance), underwater robots, mobile robots control, distributed control systems.
