Àlex Albaiges Torres and Anna Esteve Gallifa, students in the Bachelor's Degree in Data Science and Engineering (GCED) at the Faculty of Informatics of Barcelona (FIB), have won second prize in the SEAT UPC Design Thinking competition, an initiative jointly organised by SEAT and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) to promote innovative design through agile methodologies.
In this edition, participating teams were challenged to redesign vehicle interiors for autonomous mobility, while preserving the identity of the Cupra brand and applying the Design Thinking methodology.
The Mar i Muntanya team, formed by Àlex Albaiges and Anna Esteve, presented a proposal focused on simulating the passenger experience in autonomous vehicles, placing users' needs at the centre of the design process.
After evaluating the six finalist projects, the competition jury awarded the team second prize, which carries a €1,500 award.
Anna Esteve Gallifa is also enrolled in the Design and Technology double degree programme at CFIS.
