The Generalitat de Catalunya has awarded the Jaume Vicens Vives distinction to FIB professor David López Álvarez for his dedication to the continuous improvement of teaching..
Professor David López Álvarez of FIB has received the Jaume Vicens Vives distinction in the individual category “for his dedication to the continuous improvement of teaching, research and innovation; for the teaching quality demonstrated over the years; for work of the highest excellence, reflected in the very high level of student satisfaction; and for being an inspiring example for the academic community”.
The Jaume Vicens Vives distinction for quality in university teaching has recognised excellence in university teaching since 1996. This year, the Generalitat de Catalunya has awarded six distinctions to lecturers and projects from Catalan universities in recognition of their teaching quality.
The awards were presented during the opening ceremony of the 2024–2025 academic year of the Catalan university system, which took place on Thursday, 3 October, at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC). The event can be watched again in full on the UOC YouTube channel.
