The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) offers students the opportunity to participate in the “Xiji Incubator” entrepreneurship programme 2026-2027, which will take place at Tongji University in Shanghai (China) during the first semester of the 2026-2027 academic year.
This initiative is part of the Sino-Spanish Campus, of which UPC is a member, and is jointly promoted with the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) and Tongji University. The programme will allow two UPC bachelor’s or master’s students with a product, service or business idea to develop their entrepreneurial project in an international environment.
During their stay in Shanghai, the selected students will follow the training activities of the Xiji Incubator and may take an optional course as exchange students at Tongji University, provided that it is compatible with the programme schedule.
The selected students will not have to pay the programme fee (€2,880), as they will benefit from a tuition exemption.
The programme is aimed at bachelor’s and master’s students from several UPC schools, including the Barcelona School of Informatics (FIB). Applicants must certify an English level of at least B2 and maintain their status as UPC students during their stay at Tongji University.
The application deadline is 22 March 2026.
