LinkedScholar, a project by Max Tiessler and Miguel López, wins first prize at Impulsa StartU

Max Tiessler and Miguel López Cuesta, graduates in Informatics Engineering from the Barcelona School of Informatics (FIB), have been awarded the first prize of the Impulsa StartUp programme organised by the Chamber of Commerce of A Coruña for their entrepreneurial project, LinkedScholar.

LinkedScholar is a technology platform that brings together all dimensions of innovation into actionable intelligence, which R&D centres — including universities — can use, while also acting as a strategic asset for Europe’s digital sovereignty and technological autonomy. The project was launched by Max Tiessler together with two co-founders, including Miguel López Cuesta.

The project was rated the highest by the jury during the Demo Day of the Impulsa StartUp programme, an initiative aimed at supporting entrepreneurs with technology-based projects or those that use technology as a key element to scale their business.

In addition to this award, the team has been selected among the eight best projects nationwide by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, which will allow them to present their initiative at the Mobile World Congress (MWC), one of the leading international events in the technology sector.

This recognition highlights the entrepreneurial talent emerging from the FIB and the education provided in the field of informatics engineering, as well as the transfer of knowledge to innovative initiatives with real impact in the academic and research sectors.

Congratulations, Max and Miguel!
