On June 19, the Barcelona School of Informatics (FIB) celebrated the graduation ceremony for students completing its master's programmes during the 2025-2026 academic year. Held at the Vèrtex Building Auditorium on the UPC North Campus, the event brought together students, faculty members, families and institutional representatives to celebrate the completion of an important academic stage and welcome the School’s newest graduates.
The ceremony was hosted by Professor Anna Queralt Calafat and included an institutional address by Anna Rio, Dean of FIB, who congratulated the graduates on their dedication, commitment and achievements throughout their studies.
The programme featured the keynote talk “From Transistors to Builder”, delivered by Cesc Guim Bernat from Openchip, followed by a discussion with representatives from the School’s different master's programmes, who shared experiences and reflections on their academic journey and future professional challenges in the technology sector.
The ceremony also included a recognition of students who had participated in international mobility programmes, highlighting the academic and personal value of studying abroad.
One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of the Best Academic Record Award for the Master's Degree in Computer Engineering (MEI), granted by the Official College of Computer Engineering of Catalonia (COEINF). The award was presented to Carles Ureta Boza in recognition of his outstanding academic performance.

The event concluded with a group photograph of all graduates and faculty members involved in the ceremony, followed by a reception at the FIB square where graduates, families, friends and staff had the opportunity to celebrate this important milestone together.
