The Barcelona School of Informatics (FIB), FIB Alumni and the Official College of Computer Engineering of Catalonia (COEINF) are launching a new call for grants to attend womENcourage™ 2026, the annual European ACM Celebration of Women in Computing, which will take place from September 30 to October 2, 2026 in Sophia Antipolis, on the French Riviera.
This international event has become one of the leading European meeting points for students and professionals in the technology field, aiming to promote women’s participation in computing, share experiences, build networks and discover new academic and professional opportunities.
Grant information
The call includes up to 10 grants intended to cover transportation and accommodation expenses related to attending the conference. Each grant will provide up to 800 euros.
Who can apply?
Applications are open to female students enrolled in any degree programme taught at FIB during the 2025-2026 academic year.
Application process
Interested students must send an email to fib.deganat@upc.edu with the subject line “womENcourage26 Grants”.
The email must include the following information:
Full name
Degree programme currently enrolled in
Current academic year
Applicants must also attach a motivation letter explaining their interest in attending womENcourage™ 2026.
Selection process
Applications will be assessed based on both the student’s academic record and the submitted motivation letter.
