The 1st University Microvideo Contest “ICT Engineering in 30 Seconds” has been launched, an initiative aimed at bringing technology studies closer to younger generations through the voice of engineering students themselves.

The ICT sector continues to show a high demand for qualified professionals. According to the ICT Barometer 2025, more than 1,800 job vacancies remained unfilled in the last quarter of 2024, and 80.1% of companies report difficulties in finding talent. The most in-demand profiles include specialists in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and cloud computing.

In this context, the contest invites university students to create 30-45 second microvideos aimed at primary, secondary and high school students, explaining what it means to study ICT engineering, what can be created with technology and why it has a real impact on society.

The contest includes two prizes: one for the most creative message and another in the “Women and ICT” category, each awarded with €500 and a diploma.

The awards ceremony will take place on May 13, the XI Itscool Conference.

The deadline for video submissions is April 30, 2026.

The winning videos will be announced between May and June.
