TALK: Probabilistic data structures in Golang

You are here

Come to Hackers@UPC next workshop and learn about Go, a programming language created by Google used for developing key infrastructure problems such as analytic engines, databases and networking among many others.

Go is a programming language created by google in 2009. During its 10 years of existence many companies adopted it as their main language for developing key infrastructure problems such as analytic engines, data bases and networking among many others.

Many of those problems have something in common and it's that its difficulty increases at scale. When we are handling GBs to TBs of data per second some common problems like counting, analyzing patterns or getting stats in real time becomes infeasible. However, the world adapted to it and we are now able to get real time analytics at scale thanks to new algorithms.

In this talk we will discuss multiple algorithms/data structures and how they are used in real world applications that thousands of developers use everyday.
