Got an entrepreneurial spirit and thinking of launching a tech company? Josep Ruano will walk us through the key pitfalls to avoid and the essentials for success in building one.
Who is the speaker?
Josep Ruano founded CAPSiDE in 2001, initially as a web-based software company that later pivoted to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) services. In 2019, he sold CAPSiDE to NTT and held global leadership roles there until 2020, including Vice President of NTT Ltd.
He also served on Microsoft Corp.’s public cloud advisory board between 2012 and 2019. Currently, he is co-founder and board member at Ackcent Cybersecurity, president at BiteRight, and involved with various startups. He also teaches at ESADE, offering sessions on the intersection of technology, society, and philosophy.
Starting out as a programmer at 13, and having created Spain’s first e-commerce site in 1994, Ruano has been part of major business ventures — including the merger of 31 companies to form the world’s largest ICT services group by revenue.
Today, he combines his passion for tech with new ventures in the culinary world.
