Following the activation of Catalonia's Special Emergency Plan for Flooding (INUNCAT) and the restrictions established by the Department of Interior and Public Safety, the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) has adopted exceptional measures for Wednesday, 9 September 2026.

As a result, all teaching activities and any other non-essential activities are suspended. Remote working has been introduced for all UPC staff, and campuses will remain closed.

The restrictions established by the Government of Catalonia are in force from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm in the affected counties and include avoiding all non-essential travel, working remotely wherever possible and suspending university activities.

UPC asks the entire university community to follow the instructions issued by the authorities and exercise extreme caution.

Where access is required for essential activities, buildings may be accessed under the same arrangements as on public holidays.
