Impuls UPC 2026: new grants to boost entrepreneurial projects

Up to €7,500 to support entrepreneurial initiatives and startups from the UPC community.

The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) has launched the Impuls UPC 2026 grants, an initiative promoted by the Vice-Rectorate for Transfer, Innovation and Entrepreneurship to support entrepreneurial projects and emerging companies within the university community.

The call is aimed at students, alumni, academic staff (PDI), and administrative and service staff (PTGAS) with innovative initiatives either in early stages or already established.

Two participation tracks are available:

Impuls UPC – Entrepreneurial Talent 2026
For early-stage projects without a formally established company, linked to UPC entrepreneurship programs.
• Target: undergraduate, master’s, and PhD students (academic years 2024–25 and/or 2025–26)
• Grant: up to €3,000 per project
• Awards: 10 projects

Impuls UPC – Emerging Company 2026
For technology-based startups and spinoffs in their early years.
• Target: companies founded between 2024 and 2026 by UPC members
• Grant: up to €7,500 per company
• Awards: 8 companies

The application period runs from March 16 to May 31, 2026, with results expected in July 2026.

Applications must be submitted through the form available on the Emprèn UPC website.
