The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and IRB Barcelona have launched HelixAI, a new spin-off aimed at transforming biomedical data into clinical knowledge through the use of artificial intelligence.
The project seeks to enable advanced data analysis in the healthcare field to improve clinical decision-making and support the development of innovative medical solutions.
Among the team behind the initiative is Pere Barlet, a professor at the Barcelona School of Informatics (FIB), reinforcing the Faculty’s involvement in high-impact projects in the field of AI applied to healthcare.
This new spin-off is part of UPC’s knowledge transfer strategy, which promotes the creation of research-based companies to generate socio-economic impact.
