Computer Science is the university discipline with the best graduate employability outcomes in Spain, according to the CYD Ranking 2025, which analyses the labour market situation of university graduates four years after completing their studies.

The data from the CYD Ranking 2025 shows that that 89.4% of Computer Science graduates are registered with the Social Security system and that this field records the highest average contribution base, at €36,623 per year. These indicators position Computer Science at the forefront in terms of employability and job quality.

The study also highlights the strong demand for profiles related to software development, data analytics and artificial intelligence, as well as the growing importance of transversal skills such as critical thinking, adaptability, teamwork and English proficiency, particularly in international professional environments.

In a context shaped by the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence, the CYD Ranking emphasises the importance of collaboration between universities and industry to keep academic training up to date and aligned with labour market needs. This connection helps strengthen the practical orientation of degree programmes and better prepare future professionals for a constantly evolving technological environment.

The data from the CYD Ranking 2025 therefore confirm that Computer Science offers excellent career prospects and is firmly established as one of the key fields for economic and technological development.
