The Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS) will lead an AI Factory, one of the seven European AI factories to promote the development of the business ecosystem

The Catalan Government and the Ministries of Digital Transformation and Science, Innovation and Universities are promoting the creation of an AI Factory in Barcelona, ​​which will be led by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center - Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS), with the aim of position itself as a benchmark in artificial intelligence in Europe. This infrastructure will offer access to powerful computational resources and I+D services to 'start-ups', SMEs and scientists, accelerating the development of artificial intelligence applications aligned with European values.

This initiative will turn the BSC into an epicenter of AI (Artificial Intelligence) development, allowing both the public and private sectors to promote high-impact R+D projects in science and technology.

The project will begin to be implemented in 2025 going through the path of being fully operational by the end of that same year.
