ACM WomENcourage 2019 - Call for participation

The 6 th ACM Celebration of Women in Computing: womENcourage 2019 will be held in the beautiful city of Rome, Italy on 16 th -18 th of September, 2019.The three-day event includes a Hackathon, Workshops, Posters, Technical Talks, Career Fair, Panel Discussions and two Interdisciplinary Research Tracks on fascinating topics such as Conscious Cities and Artificial Intelligence in Medicine. 

Attendees will be able to meet with their peers in order to build on their networks of expertise, be inspired by many scientifically renowned invited speakers, and consider new opportunities during the career fair.

POSTERS

Posters provide womENcourage participants with an opportunity to present their work, receive feedback, exchange knowledge and establish collaborations with others who share the same interests. We welcome poster submissions that present original ideas and research in any of the conference themes outlined above. Authors may submit ongoing, new work or versions of their previously published work. 

Submission

One-page extended-abstract of the poster should be prepared using the SIGCONF template and must be submitted as a PDF file through EasyChair 

Submissions should emphasize the importance of the research and the author’s contributions. 

Poster submissions can have multiple authors (of any gender). At least one author of each accepted poster is expected to attend the event and present the poster. Authors of accepted posters can apply for womENcourage scholarship.

• Notification of accepted posters: 20 th of May, 2019 3rd of June, 2019
