On 13th of June, the graduation ceremony for the master’s students of the Barcelona School of Informatics (FIB) was held in the Vèrtex auditorium.

On Friday, 13th of June, we have celebrated the graduation of the master’s degree graduates of the academic year 2024-2025. The Vèrtex auditorium hosted this meaningful occasion for students and their families.
Before the official start of the ceremony, students took the opportunity to exchange thoughts and share the excitement of the moment.
The Dean of the FIB, Anna Rio, gave a welcome speech to start the ceremony. The ceremony was conducted by Anna Queralt, professor in the Department of Service and Information System Engineering.
One of the highlights of the ceremony was the keynote speech delivered by David Carrera, CTO and co-founder of NearbyComputing, entitled "How to Make the Target Hit the Arrow", offering a perspective focused on technological transformation and decision-making.
Representing the graduating class, five master’s students took part in the ceremony, sharing their reflections on their experience at the FIB.
Òscar Romero Moral, Vice Dean of Postgraduate Studies, congratulated the students and shared encouraging remarks to motivate them moving forward.
The graduates went on stage to collect commemorative certificates from academic representatives, in a mood of celebration and appreciation.
At the same event, the COEINF, through Mr. Eduard Lias, Vice Dean of Legal and Regulatory Affairs, presented the award for the best academic record in the Master's in Computer Engineering for the 2023–2024 academic year.
Professor Santiago Silvestre, Vice-Rector for University Policy, concluded the evening with a memorable speech, symbolizing both the close of an academic chapter and the start of a new professional and personal journey for all graduates.
