Transport Research Board (TRB). is one of the seven areas that make up The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine of the United States

Professor Jaume Barceló, member of the Department of Statistics and Operations Research and professor emeritus of the UPC assigned to the FIB, has won this award in recognition of his contributions to the development and dissemination of the microscopic traffic simulation.
Professor Barceló received the award at the annual meeting of the TRB held on January 14 in Washington DC
