Hackaton Mobility BCN organized by CARNET and SEAT and sponsored by ALTRAN held at the UPC during the month of March.

The competition raised participation in three possible categories: Smart Mobility, Driver Experience (apps) and Driver Experience (hardware).
Team Thor made by Marc Vila, Ester Lorente, Francesc de Paula Puig and Josep Cid (allof them Fibers and members of the InLab) won the category "Smart Mobility" with an application based on Microciutats, a new Smart Cities challenge which aims to integrate services to users of intermodal nodes. This team also won the special mention awarded to BIG IoT integrating BIG IoT project resources (books, etc.) within the project developed at the hackathon.
Team Vader Fibers formed by Esteve Tarragó, Marc Asenjo, Maria Vila and Martin Dans won the category "Driving Experience APPS" consisting of developing an improved algorithm routine for multiple users, which aims improve traffic congestion in the city.
The "Driver Experience" has been the Team Vegeta involving a hardware connectivity solutions between cars and cyclists using technology ibeacons to prevent accidents.
