The European Research Council (ERC) has awarded a Starting Grant to Ariadna Quattoni to develop a Machine Learning project

The researcher from the Department of Computer Science at UPC, Ariadna Quattoni, has been awarded a Starting Grant (a European grant for excellent research) by the European Research Council (ERC).
Ariadna Quattoni, who is part of the LARCA and GPLN research groups at FIB, has received this funding to develop a Machine Learning project. The project, “Interactive Machine Learning for Compositional Models of Natural Language” (INTERACT), is part of the field of Physical Sciences and Engineering and will receive European funding of 1.5 million euros over five years. Its main objective is to develop new machine learning algorithms for natural language processing capable of solving specific tasks with minimal human intervention.
