Pre-enrolment of MAI elective courses

You are here

Goal

Facilitate the enrolment of the students in their elective courses, so that they can finish it with the courses of their choice (if possible). Additionally, we will know how many places (if any) we can offer in each course to other master students.

How it works

You can access the pre-enrolment process Tuesday, 30 January 2024 at 10:00 h, through the Racó.

Once inside, you would be able to select the elective courses of your master, up to a maximum of 30 ECTS credits. Do not forget that if you have some compulsory courses still pending, you must enrol in them and, therefore, the credits of the compulsory courses must be subtracted from the maximum of 30 credits allowed.

The first phase of the pre-enrolment process will remain open until Tuesday, 30 January 2024 at 23:59 h..

On Thursday, 1 February 2024 at 10:00 h we will reopen the pre-enrolment application, to allow the students who had participated in the first phase to introduce modifications in their selection of courses. In this second phase students can only add to their pre-enrollment subjects with free places, or make group changes between pre-registered subjects. This second phase will remain open until Thursday, 1 February 2024 at 23:59 h.

Only the students who had introduced a pre-enrolment selection in the first phase will be allowed to participate in the second one. If after the second phase there are groups in which the applications outnumber the capacity of the groups, the places will be attributed according to the enrolment order of the students (based in their performance in the previous semester). If there are more than one group and some group has free places, the students who do not fit in the group of their election will be moved to the other group, following the same enrolment order. The students who do not fit the capacity of the course will be left out of it.

The pre-enrolment application will give students information about their position among the applications to each course, based in their enrolment order.

Enrolment

The students who have completed the pre-enrolment process will have a reserved place in the assigned group/course. They must confirm it by choosing it during the enrolment process. Otherwise, they will lose the reserved place, which will be offered to the rest of the students during the period of modifications.

The free places (not reserved during the pre-enrolment period) will be offered to all the students during the enrolment process

IMPORTANT

  • Use the pre-enrolment process. We cannot guarantee that the students who do not use it will have a place in the courses they want, even if these courses belong to the student’s specialization.
  • Pre-enrol only the courses you really want to enrol in. Otherwise you will be damaging your classmates, because the places you reserve will not be available for them.
  • Do not forget to do the enrolment. Pre-enrolment is an important process previous to it, but it does not replace the actual enrolment. If you do not enrol the courses previously preenrolled, it is quite probable that you miss them.
