Curriculum

The Master in Data Engineering and Artificial Intelligence (DEAI) is an Erasmus Mundus progamme of two years.

The DEAI is a programme covering the disciplines of data engineering and artificial intelligence, with a strong focus on research and innovation. Its aim is to become a world leader in the development of knowledge, talent and leadership to address the productivity gap in complex, large-scale, data-driven artificial intelligence projects.

Being an Erasmus Mundus, involves mobility. The following graph outlines the necessary mobility:

The first and second semesters are compulsory for all students, as is the summer school. In the third semester, students choose a specialisation: data management and knowledge-based intelligence, business, economic and financial data science; data and intelligence for heterogeneous systems. The final semester is devoted to the Master's thesis.

Upon completion of the programme, students receive a degree from the ULB, UPC and the university of specialisation (TUW, UniPD or UCBL). Further information can be found at https://deai.ulb.be/.
