GESSI Pizza Day 2025 – 6th Edition

Next 13th of November discover GESSI’s projects and connect with its team in an open session full of ideas, innovation, and pizza.

Every two or three years since 2012, the Software and Service Engineering Research Group (GESSI) at FIB–UPC has organized Pizza Day, an informal and interactive event that connects students with researchers.

Join us to discover what we do, learn about our current projects, and explore opportunities for collaboration — all while enjoying some free pizza and drinks!

The session will start with a short introduction to the GESSI group, followed by poster sessions where you can meet our members, discuss ideas, and get inspired in a relaxed atmosphere.

About GESSI

The Software and Service Engineering Research Group (GESSI) conducts research in many fields of software engineering, with particular emphasis on requirements engineering, software quality, software architecture, service-oriented computing, open source software, software modeling and empirical research.

Our main research areas include:

  • Sustainability of AI Systems: fostering environmental, technical, and social sustainability in ML-based systems.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: turning data into insights through predictive models and visualization.
  • NLP for Software Engineering: using language models to support requirements, development, and feedback analysis.
  • Discover the GESSI group’s projects and connect with its team in an open session full of ideas, innovation, and pizza.Software Engineering & AI: applying SE principles to AI systems and leveraging GenAI to enhance SE tasks.
