Seminars: the seminars will present advanced topics related to Big Data in the industrial and research settings
Seminars will take place during the semester. Industrial and academic practitioners will provide insights on hot topics not covered by the semester.

Teaching methodology
This course is based on seminars. During the semester the student will be mandatorily attend the course seminars and learn about new topics or practices related with Big Data.To show the comprehension of one of these areas, the student must generate a state-of-the-art in group of 2-3 people.
Evaluation methodology
Any academic fraud, plagiarism or use or possession of unauthorised means in an assessment activity leads to a mark of zero (0) for
the affected test or assignment. Furthermore, in accordance with the University's regulations, if disciplinary proceedings are initiated
the subject is recorded as "Pending Assessment" until a decision is reached. These incidents are managed in accordance with the
Action Framework for Academic Integrity in Assessment at the UPC.
Final Mark = 50% R + 50% RPr where,R = The mark obtained on the written state-of-the-art report,
RPr = Face-to-face presentation of the report
Attendance to the summer school seminars and attend face-to-face the poster session there is mandatory and required to pass this course.
