Fight today for a better tomorrow, come to the RareHacks! The Hackathon will take place in Barcelona during a weekend in summer, from the 5th to the 7th of July.

What is RareHacks?

RareHacks is a Hackathon event that brings you the opportunity to apply data science tools, including machine learning and natural language processing algorithms, to a real biomedicine case that will contribute to help families suffering from rare diseases.

Rarehacks is organized within the framework of a project called Share4Rare (S4R). S4R is financed by the European commission (GA 780262) and its main goal is creating a platform capable of recruiting data for a particular rare disease and contributing this knowledge back to the patient population.
Achieving funds from private and public entities for the research on rare diseases is exceptionally difficult. The goal of RareHacks is to push research on minority diseases throughout collaborative efforts.

The Challenge

The challenge proposed in RareHacks is building a smart chat bot capable of providing answers to rare diseases patients’ relatives.
To fulfill this goal, teams will be composed of multidisciplinary profiles of five individuals. Encouraged profiles are:
