Miquel Barceló UPC Science-Fiction Award 2024

The Consell Social de la Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) has launched a new edition of the UPC Miquel Barceló Science-Fiction Prize.

The prize is open to unpublished stories in the science fiction genre, written in Catalan, Spanish, English or French.

A prize of 2,000 euros and, if appropriate, a special honourable mention will be awarded. Optionally, a special honourable mention may be awarded to the best story submitted by a member of the UPC community. In addition, the winning work will be edited and published in digital and paper format, in a joint edition between the UPC and the publishing house Apache Libros, as part of the 'Biblioteca de Ciencia Ficción en Español' collection.

The deadline for submitting original works is 1st of April 2024, at 14 p.m.
