General conditions of use

The present document states and defines the conditions under which you may use the services and contents of the web FIB, www.fib.upc.edu (hereinafter referred to as Fib), which is offered to Internet users.

The access to Fib grants the condition of User of Fib (hereinafter referred to as User) and each of the general conditions appearing in the version published by Fib at the time the User enters the Fib web site. Moreover, the User accepts, from the time of accessing the Fib site, the additional conditions of use of some services offered by the Fib that, depending on the situation, substitute, modify or complete the present general conditions. As a result, the User must read carefully both general conditions and additional conditions every time that he/she wants to use Fib and the services and the contents it offers.

In any case, Fib reserves the right to suspend or revoke a User's right to access the web site, without previous notice, if there is proof of violation of the terms and conditions which govern the services and contents.

In any case, the Fib reserves the right to retire the access to any user who fails to fulfill anyone of the general conditions or particular that govern the services and contents, without needed previous warning.

Fib assumes no warranty or liability as to the availability, continuity, access, maintenance and accurate functioning of Fib and its services. The User commits him/herself not to use Fib web site in order to pass or disseminate computer viruses or other physic/electronic elements that may damage or interrupt the normal use of the network, systems or any computer equipment (software and hardware) of third parties or electronic documents and files that are stored in those systems.

All material found in this web site including text, design, images, database, logos, organisation, trademarks and other elements of Fib are protected under the industrial and intellectual property laws. Users of Fib are allowed only to reproduce, copy, distribute, transmit, adapt or modify the contents of Fib, provided that users include the source and/or the author’s name.
