Docent Methodolgy

Lectures will be complemented by class exercises. Working through these exercises helps students understand and reflect on given themes. An exercise consists of solving a case/problem through the techniques learnt and by using computer tools, discussing situations and/or making presentation in class.

In addition, 1 or 2 course-related trips are planned, together with a classroom presentation by a firm involved in programme techniques/production.

Evaluation Methodgy

The assessment will be based on the following items:
- A part exam - P1
- A part exam - P2
- Participation in and solution of class exercises - E
- Final exam (F)

The grade will be calculated as follows:
If (P1 >= 3.5) i P2 >= 3.5) the Grade = max(0.2*E + 0.4*P1 + 0.4*P2; 0.2*E+0.8*F)
otherwise, Nota = 0.2*E+0.8*F

Where (0.2*E+0.4*P1+0.4*P2 >= 5) I (P1 >= 3.5) I (P2 >= 3.5) students will not be required to sit the final exam (F).
