Computer classrooms

In the classroom areas in A5, B5 and C6 of the North Campus there are 21 computer classrooms and user rooms from where you can access the services of the Computing Laboratory of the Barcelona School of Informatics (LCFIB).The classrooms are equipped with a total of 378 computers (5 Sun Rays and 373 PCs), 2 printers and 27 audiovisual projectors (21 fixed and 6 mobile).

In all the classrooms there is category 5 cabling and access to the Internet through the School’s network.

The computer classrooms are used for teaching, that is, for guided classes with lecturers. While laboratory classes are being held, the only people who may normally access the classrooms at this time are the students who are enrolled in the subject, who must attend the class. When there are no classes, some of these classrooms may be used as user rooms.

The students can in principle, freely access the user rooms, except when there are restrictions imposed by the Computing Laboratory (scheduled classes, equipment reservation system, etc.).

To ensure the maximum availability of the equipment, the LCFIB keeps spare parts and has maintenance contracts with minimum response times. If you detect a hardware failure, please contact the operations personnel.

• Students are not allowed to smoke, eat or drink inside the classrooms.
• Students must not sit on the tables.
• Chairs must not be taken out of the classrooms.
• The computers must not be moved.
