The aim of this specialization is to train researchers in the fields of computer architecture and/or supercomputing. Graduates will have in-depth knowledge of: digital systems and microprocessor design, supercomputer systems and parallel programming.
Professionals who have taken this area of specialization possess all the knowledge and skills required in companies/institutions with R&D centers who want to incorporate emerging technologies. This specialization fulfills the requirements for joining the PhD program on Computer Architecture and Technology.
This specialization is taught by highly qualified professors, such as leading researchers from Intel and BSC (Barcelona Supercomputing Center), and professors with past research experience at companies like IBM, HP, Compaq or Sun Microsystems.
