Computer Networks and Distributed Systems

Aims

The aim of the specialization is to give the best foundations to design and research in computer networks and distributed systems. The degree will give a solid background in the techniques to analyse and model networks and distributed systems and at the same time will survey the new challenges and technologies to the related topics.

The students that graduate this specialization will also achieve research skills in optimization, game theory, stochastic processes and network and distributed systems modeling. Moreover, the students will achieve capacities related to the design and modeling of descentralized and scalable systems, cloud computing, fault tolerant systems, future internet networks, mobile internet, Internet of things, security and applications.
