For the second season in a row, BarcelonaTech has been awarded the Visitor's Cup as the top European school in Major League Hacking's Fall 2015 North American Season. This year over tens of thousands of students participated in over 60 official MLH events throughout North America and over 18 in Europe.

MLH is the official student hackathon league where students participate in  weekend-long events creating innovative software and hardware projects and competing for prizes.

In the past BarcelonaTech has received awards as the Top European School in the Spring 2015 European and American leagues; this February 19th students at the university are organizing the first UniversityHackathon in Spain, HackUPC.
