The FIB signs the first double degree agreement for an official master of the UPC.
On July 18th, there took place the signature of the double degree agreement between the College of Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology and the Barcelona School of Informatics at the UPC.This agreement was signed by the Rector of the UPC, the President of GeorgiaTech-Atlanta, the President of GeorgiaTech-Lorraine, the Dean of the CoC and the Dean of the FIB.
It is the first double degree agreement between an official master of the UPC and a foreign university.
Starting on the academic year 2007/2008, this agreement will allow the students of the Master in Information Technologies from the FIB, who pass the selection process, to jointly obtain the Master of Science in Computer Science from GeorgiaTech.
To obtain the double degree, the students of each university will spend one year in the other university.
Every year there will be a specific application call to take part in this program.
